Pembina Valley Central Plains Amazing Race

9th Annual Amazing Race Has A New Friendly Family Format

One Day Race  $75/team

Two Day Race $100/team   Eligible for the $1,000 Access Credit Union Grand Prize.

Over Labour Day weekend the Pembina Valley Central Plains Tourism Association (PVCPTA) will be holding their ninth Amazing Race.  Last year we had over 120 energetic, eager racers, comprising of over 33 teams due to rainy weather.  Fortunately the rain did not last and the sun came out for the majority of the race!

The Pembina Valley Central Plains Challenge, an Amazing Race is a great way to end the summer with friends and family during September Long! Visit tons of tourist attractions within the Pembina Valley, engage in some friendly competition, and have a chance to win $1,000 in prizes from Access Credit Union! Once again the Race will be hosted by the RM of Louise, in the town of Pilot Mound, on the weekend of September 1st – 3rd.

Each day teams will have several communities to race within. These communities will have multiple businesses that host a challenge for the teams to complete. Teams can choose which challenge to participate in, and earn points through their completion. Challenges are allotted points based on their physical, mental levels of difficulty, as well as their adventure fun scale. Challenges that require a purchase are worth more points than those without. Bonus points are given for donations and purchases of two dollars, or more within the race. The team that collects the most points at the end of the challenge wins the grand prize!

The Race continues to provide an important platform to showcase communities in the Pembina Valley Central Plains region and its businesses and non-profits. Thank you to the Municipality of Louise, their Recreational District, and especially the Recreation Director Marci Toupin for all their assistance and excitement in making the Race happen!
Start training your family, friends or business team for this AMAZING summer adventure.
